Don't quash the quality of squash court



A closer look at the squash complex will certainly catch one's imagination. The squash court has movable side walls and can be swiftly converted from a doubles to a singles court


Diving into deep trouble



At the SP Mukherjee swimming complex, the final touches were being given but basic equipment, like the anti-skid mats along the diving platforms weren't laid yet.



Not for tall divers



To add to the woes, the area before the diving board is just 6-feet in height, which will make it difficult for divers to even stand leave alone taking the plunge


960 crores spent but not ready sir...



A Times of India report says that the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium would be 'match ready' by 20th September. Approximately 960 crores has been already spent on the stadium.


Lots of time left for this though



Outside the main stadium, the approach road is also being renovated. The work is on and nobody's complaining. After all, what is the use of the approach road without the main stadium!


More blues for Delhi traffic



Special lanes dedicated for CWG vehicles were tested out last week. It was a good idea for the athletes but certainly not for the aam aadmi in Delhi, who is livid.

A central shopping district was supposed to come up in the heart of New Delhi's Connaught Place. But, nobody knows where the idea disappeared.


When weightlifting arena resembled a pool

Army to fight mosquitoes



With dengue cases rising in Delhi, there is a proposal to use the services of army to help fight mosquito breeding near the Commonwealth Games Village, where athletes and delegates will stay during the Oct 3-14 event.
