Aamir Khan Defends PK Nude Poster

Courtesy: Facebook Nude PK poster has created furor all over and a case was also filed against him and the makers of the film for promoting nudity and vulgarity and following which the poster of PK was removed from theatres. After maintaining a dignified silence over the matter, for the first time Aamir Khan broke his silence and spoke in favour of the poster.

Superstar Aamir Khan, who has left many intrigued and many ridiculing him over his nude look in the poster of his upcoming film PK, says it's not for publicity. Calling it "key art", he says it depicts the story of the film.

The poster of Rajkumar Hirani's PK features Aamir posing nude with a strategically placed boombox hiding his modesty. While some appreciated the dare bare act, some even criticised it and even called it a "publicity stunt".

Aamir spoke on the sidelines of a screening of Marathi film "Saturday Sunday" here Wednesday.
Citing the example of the poster of one of his past production and directorial debut, "Taare Zameen Par", he said: "In the poster of 'Taare Zameen Par', the child (actor Darsheel Safary) is sitting in the front on the school bench and I am sitting behind him. So it is a kind of key art...the image that tells you much about the story and so is the poster of 'PK'."

Talking about it, Aamir said: "When you (audience) will watch the film then only you will be able to understand the idea behind (the poster). But I would just like to say that the kind of filmmaker, the kind of writer Rajkumar is, he always tries to present the things, his thinking, in a unique way and that's why I am his huge fan."

"This is not for publicity, not for us atleast. Infact, this poster imbibes all the elements of the film."
Meanwhile, a case was also filed in a court in Kanpur recently against Aamir, director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra. They were accused of promoting nudity and vulgarity through "PK" poster.

However, the actor is hopeful that everything will get clear once people watch the film when it releases in December.

"We are getting a mixed response from the people. But I feel that when they will watch the film, their doubts will get cleared," the 49-year-old said.

PK also features actor Sanjay Dutt, Anushka Sharma and Sushant Singh Rajput.

Amitabh Bachchan Kapil Sharma together on KBC 8

Amitabh Bachchan, Kapil Sharma's Jugalbandi on KBC 8

Eighth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, which will go on air from August 17.

Their chemistry was crackling! Their barbs were hilarious! And their oneliners literally bowled over the audience who assembled here.

What do you expect when Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and superstar comedian Kapil Sharma join forces on the stage? Entertainment, entertainment and entertainment!

From taking potshots at each other to trading light-hearted barbs - both of them displayed their funny sides and made the audience double up with laughter on Saturday at the jam-packed Surat International Exhibition and Convention Centre, which has a seating capacity of about 7,000 people.

The two, now described as the titans of Indian television - Big B for his over 14-year successful stint with KBC, and Kapil for entertaining with his hit show Comedy Nights With Kapil - were so enthralling that the audience stayed glued to their seats for over five hours.

The high point of the show was when Big B, marvelling at Kapil's humour, turned to the comedian's mother sitting in the audience and asked, Aaj main bhi aap se poochna chahta hoon ki aapne kya kha ke isse paida kiya tha?

Another funny moment was when Kapil's single status was enquired about and he turned the table by requesting Big B and saying, "Would you please be kind enough to take my proposal to actress Deepika Padukone?"

From shaking his leg to cracking jokes, Amitabh, known for organising stage shows abroad during his prime, was admirable in every sense of the word.

They complemented each other on the stage and their fans were delighted to see them letting their hair down, especially 71-year-old Mr Bachchan, who was in full form.

"This is my third time with Bachchan saab and whenever I work with him, I feel blessed." Kapil admitted being jittery about teaming up with Mr Bachchan, but praised him for "giving space"

Kapil, who also took the hot seat for a dummy round, said his father was a fan of KBC and he used to watch the game show with him.

The ace comedian also got emotional.

"My mother was sitting in the audience and I got emotional, but then I thought I have come here to entertain people."

Big B was a treat to watch and Kapil, known for his gift of the gab, increased the fun with his presence.

Mohit Ahlawat hospitalised

img

Ram Gopal Varma's prize-discovery Mohit Ahlawat, who made an appearance in the just released 'The Film Emotional Atyachar' after a gap, is not keeping well. The actor was hospitalised.

"I think it is for some intestine or stomach problem. Too much work-out has taken its toll on him," said Akshay Shere who directed him in his debut film '...Emotional Atyachar'. Both of them go back a long way, to their days together in Varma's production house.

The bout of ill health had deprived Mohit of the attention that his new film would have got him.

In the film, Mohit plays a businessman who meets some bizarre people.

The young gym-toned actor made his debut with Varma's 'James' in 2005. He had the guts to tell his mentor in his face that his script for the remake of 'Sholay' would never work and his guess was right.

But Mohit paid heavily for his outspokenness. He was banished not only from Varma's production house, but also from Bollywood. Last heard, he had walked out of 'Ghajini' because he found his role of the cop too inconsequential.

Thereafter Mohit seemed to disappear from the face of earth. His phone number has changed and apparently he has gone back to his family business in Panipat and Delhi.

But now one sees him part of the ensemble cast in Shere's 'The Film Emotional Aatyachar'.

Shahid & Priyanka in Ishq Vishk 2?

The trend of making sequels has caught on in a big way. In fact, the moment a film hits the bull's eye, most producers immediately jump at the idea of making a sequel to the film. The announcement of a sequel creates tremendous excitement within and outside the film industry and gradually, the film becomes a brand.

The latest news doing the rounds is that producer Ramesh Taurani is planning to make a sequel to 'Ishq Vishk'. Rumours are rife that Ratna Sinha will direct the film, which is expected to star Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

However, Ramesh Taurani denies the development completely, "It's untrue. We don't have a story for a sequel, so how can we announce the film in the first place?" But he confirms that Ratna Sinha did narrate a subject to him. "But it was for an altogether different film. Beyond that we haven't had any discussions," Taurani adds.

Meanwhile, Taurani is gearing up to start 'Race 2', directed by Abbas-Mustan. This film is likely to take off early next year.
